Our Story

In 2021, my world came crashing down when my daughter was diagnosed with Stage 4 Hodgkin's Lymphoma. When we were going through treatment, we found out that chemotherapy often causes taste alterations, making food bland and unappetizing. As we experimented with various foods to find something that would excite her taste buds, we discovered that steak and spicy foods, particularly of the flaming hot variety, allowed her to rediscover the joy of eating. After five years of treatment, she is now cancer free and living a vibrant happy life, but still likes spicy foods. This experience inspired me to start the Hot Puppers Sauce Co. A hot sauce company dedicated to supporting a great cause.

During her treatment, we also experienced the caring and compassionate support provided by the Children's Miracle Network. This charity provided support and comfort to our entire family during a very difficult time. She also found comfort through the support of our dog, Mellie, who was always by her side to provide love and cuddles. That is why Mellie has become the mascot of our company, and why we are committed to donating a portion of our proceeds to the Children's Miracle Network.
